Interpol’s help sought to bring Arav Khan back to Bangladesh: Asaduzzaman


Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal on Saturday said they have already sought cooperation from the Interpol to bring back Rabiul Islam Apon alias Arav Khan, who is a fugitive accused in a murder case of a police inspector.

“All-out efforts are underway to bring back Arav Khan to Bangladesh. Interpol’s cooperation has already been sought to arrest Arav Khan,” he told journalists after attending a programme in Tejgaon area here marking Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s birth anniversary.

About the arrest of actress Mahiya Mahi, the home minister said she was arrested on specific charges.

“I heard that Mahiya Mahia made some comments against on Facebook live against Gazipur Metropolitan Police (GMP) Commissioner Molla Nazrul Islam, for which a case has been filed. I don’t know everything about the matter, I just heard it. I can say after learning the matter,” he said.

Mahi’s allegations against police are being investigated, he added.
