Authorities of Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia have restricted the entry of outsiders into the campus.

They announce this through loud speaker inside the campus on Tuesday.

The entry of outsiders to the campus has been strictly prohibited  from Tuesday till further notice for the sake of the university's security, said Proctor Prof Dr Shahadat Hossain Azad.

Meanwhile, a case was filed by the university administration at Shailkupa Police Station over the attack on two IU students on Monday.

Proctor Shahadat said," The administration filed the case over Monday's incident. The university also restricted the entry of outsiders into the campus for the sake of security."

On Monday (March 13), two students of the university were allegedly attacked by locals. Protesting the incident, agitated students blocked the Kushtia-Jhenidah highway from 6:30pm to 10pm.
