Photo: Observer Police arrested a youth with 15.10kg hemp from Phulbari in Kurigram on Friday. The arrestee was Mizanur Rahman, 22, son of Jahangir Alam of Naodanga union of the upazila.  Police sources said a police team, led by Fazlul Rahman, Officer-in-Charge of Phulbari Police Station, conducted a raid at the house of a man named Shaheen in Kismat Shimulbari area of Naodanga union around 5pm on Friday. They arrested Mizanur Rahman from the house with 15.10kg hemp. Police also seized two motorcycles used to transport the hemp. OC Fazlul Rahman confirmed the news and said a case was filed under Narcotics Control Act. The youth was produced before the court and it sent him to jail, the official added. NY |
