Youth commits suicide in Jashore

A former student of Jahangirnagar University committed suicide at Chougacha upazila in Jashore district on Friday afternoon.

Deceased Habibur Rahman, 20, was son of late Aynal Haque, a resident of Jolkar Madhobpur village in the upazila.

According to locals, the deceased’s niece saw the hanging body of Aynal in a room of his house and started screaming. Then family members put down the body and informed police.

Chougacha Police Station sub-inspector Joynul Islam said, according to Anisur Rahman, the deceased’s elder brother, Aynal might have committed suicide after suffering from depression for not getting job after graduation.

Chougacha Police Station officer-in-charge Eyasin Alam Chowdhury confirmed the matter.
