Daulatdia-Paturia ferry service resumes after 6hrs

The ferry operation on Daulatdia-Paturia route has resumed after six hours of disruption caused by dense fog.

The ferry movement became normal around 7:30 am on Friday, said Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC) Daulatdia sector manager Md Salahuddin.
Earlier, the ferry service on this route was suspended at 2:00 am due to poor visibility caused by the dense fog.

Three ferries got stuck in the middle of the river while over 250 small and large vehicles were seen waiting on both sides to cross the river, causing immense suffering to the passengers amid the cold.
