Body of madrasa student found hanging in Gazipur

Police recovered the hanging body of a madrasa student from Kaliganj upazila in Gazipur district on Thursday night.

The deceased was Abu Sufian Shanto, 13, son of Hannan Miah, a resident of Kholapara area in the upazila. He was a student of Munshurpur Madinatul Manoara Madrasa.

Police said students of the madrasa found a residential room locked from the inside after they returned from performing the Isha salat at night, and informed police.
On information, police recovered the body, said Kaliganj Police Station sub-inspector Mazharul Haque.

Legal steps in this regard are under process, the SI added.
