25 EU students awarded scholarships

The annual scholarship awarding programme 2015 organized by Eastern University (EU) was held on 24 October 2016 at the EU seminar hall. Members of the Board of Trustees of EU sponsored these funds for poor but meritorious students of the university. A total of 25 students were awarded scholarships for their excellence in academic performances in 2015. Since its foundation date, the university has disbursed Tk. 35 corer in scholarships, and provided financial aid to students.
Mr. Abdul Matlub Ahmad, President of the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) was present as chief guest. Prof. Dr. Abdur Rab, Vice Chancellor of EU, presided over the function while Chairman of the Board of Trustees of EU, Mr. Md. Azizul Islam was present as special guest. Engg. Khandaker Mesbah Uddin Ahmed, Mr. Mohammed Ali Azzam, Members of BoT, Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Abdul Hannan Chowdhury, among others spoke on the occasion.
