One killed in Bagerhat road mishap

A man was killed in a road accident at Mollahat upazila in Bagerhat district on Thursday afternoon. The dead was Basudeb Bain, 55, a resident of Takiarkul village of the upazila. Witnesses said a speeding bus hit the man while he was crossing road in Chanderhat area, leaving him injured. Locals rescued him and took to Fakirhat Upazila Health Complex where he was declared dead by the on-duty doctor. Mollahat Highway Police Station officer-in-charge Mehedi Hasan confirmed the matter.
