Police-BNP clash in Munshiganj: Injured Jubo Dal leader dies at DMCH
Jubo Dal leader, who was injured during the clash between the police and the supporters of BNP on Wednesday, succumbed to his injures at Dhaka Medical College Hospital in Dhaka on Thursday night.
Deceased Md Shaon, 21, was son of Md Abdur Rahim Bhuyina, a resident of Murma village under Mirkadim municipality in Munshiganj.
Shaon was organizing secretary of Jubo Dal Ward No-8, said Mirkadim municipality BNP convener Jasim Uddin Ahmed.
BNP’s organizing secretary Advocate Abdus Salam Azad said namaz-e-janaza of Shaon will be held in front of party’s central office in Nayapaltan on Friday after the competition of his autopsy in the hospital.
DMCH police outpost in-charge Md Bachchu Miah said Shaon died in the hospital at about 9.15 pm.
More than 100 people, including journalists, were injured in clashes between BNP activists and police at Munshiganj Sadar upazila on Wednesday afternoon.
