College principal killed in Sylhet road crash

A college principal was killed being crushed by a human hauler in Sylhet city on Saturday night.

Deceased Awlad Hossain, was principal of Jalalpur Degree College.
Police said a human hauler crushed Principal Awlad on the Sylhet-Tamabil highway in Majortila Shyamoli residential area at about 10:30 when he was crossing the road, leaving him critically injured.

He was rescued and rushed to Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital where the on-duty doctors declared him dead.

Shahparan (R) Police Station officer in-charge Syed Anisur Rahman said police are trying to detect the vehicle via CCTV footage and arrest its driver.
