Child killed as truck hits auto-rickshaw in Netrokona

A child was killed after a truck hit an auto-rickshaw at Kendua upazila in Netrokona district on Thursday.

The deceased was Alfa Akter, 7, daughter of Rahmat Bangalee, a resident of Pijahati village in the upzaila. She was a student of Ayesha Siddika Mohila Madrasa.

Locals said a truck hit a battery-run auto-rickshaw in Raipur area in the afternoon, leaving Alfa dead on the spot.

On information, police recovered the body, said Kendua Police Station officer in-charge Mir Mahbubur Rahman.
