Ex-Ctg mayor Manzur stands beside flood victims

Former Mayor of Chittagong City Corporation Mohammad Manzur Alam started distributing cooked food among 5000 flood-affected people in Sunamganj district.

He is providing the assistance among the flood-hit people under the banner of Alhaj Mostafa-Hakim Welfare Foundation and Alhaj Hosne Ara Manzur Welfare Trust.

They distributed cooked food in Mohanpur, Kathair, Molla Para and Laxmanchhari union parishads of Sadar Upazila in collaboration with Army and local representatives since Friday. This food assistance activity will continue for the next 7 days.

The two organizations also handed over two speedboats to the Bangladesh Army in a bid to speed up relief distribution activities.

About the food assistance, Manzur Alam said they always come forward beside the poor people in all natural calamities. “As sequel to it, we have taken this initiative to help the flood victims of Sunamganj,” he said.
