A 40-bed 'Sopiret hospital' was inaugurated at Sadar upazila in Lakshmipur district on Monday morning.
The hospital was built at Abirnagar village of the upazila with the assistance of NGO Palli Karma Sahayak Foundation (PKSF).
PKSF managing director Dr. Namita Haldar was present as the chief guest at the programme with Sopiret executive director M Mosleh Uddin in the chair.
Lakshmipur Deputy Commissioner Md Anwar Hossain Akand, PKSF deputy managing director Tapas Kumar Biswas, Md Sharif Hossain, Humayun Kabir, Dr. Syeda Khaleda, Harun Al Madani were present at the programme, among others.
