Elderly man commits suicide in Bogura

An elderly man committed suicide at Nandigram upazila in Bogura district on Tuesday afternoon.

The deceased was identified as Surendranath Burman, 72, a resident of Damuaparea viallage under Burail union.

Locals said Surendranath committed suicide by hanging himself from a tree around 4 pm.

The cause of the suicide could not be known.

Later, being informed police recovered the body from the spot and sent it to hospital morgue for autopsy.

Nandigram Police Station OC Anwar Hossain confirmed the matter.
