School boy drowns in Natore

A school boy drowned at Baraigram upazila in Natore district on Sunday afternoon.

The deceased was Sahedur Rahman Tonu, 14, son of Sajjadar Rahman, a resident of Gopalpur village of the upazila.

Locals said Tonu drowned in a pond while he was taking bath with his friends as he did no know how to swim.

Later, locals rescued his body from the pond at one stage of search and took to hospital where the on-duty doctor declared him dead.
