Hasina won’t find a way to flee: Gayeshwar BNP standing committee member Gayeshwar Chandra Roy has said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will not find a way to flee if they boycott the upcoming general election. “No more election under the leadership of Sheih Hasina would be allowed. No election can be held under this government,” said the BNP leader while addressing as the chief guest at a protest rally in Bogura district town on Saturday. Bogura BNP arranged the rally in front of its office in Bogura town in protest against what the party said continuous attacks on opposition leaders by ruling party ‘cadres’ in different parts of the country. Gayeshwar said the power must be handed over to the ‘government of the people’ to hold a general elections. “Awami League is now running anarchy all over the country. Their leaders and activists are not allowed to enter 80 countries of the world,” he said. Mentioning that BNP’s acting chairman Tarique Rahman will lead the party’s movement, Gayeshwar said, “Tarique Rahman’s movement is to restore democracy, not to go to power. People will get their voting rights back.” Bogura BNP convener Rezaul Karim Badshah presided over the protest rally where BNP chairperson’s adviser Md Helaluzzaman Talukder Lalu, assistant organizing secretary Obaidur Rahman Chandan, Bogura BNP joint convener advocate Saiful Islam, Fazlul Bari Talukder Belal, joint convener Mosharraf Hossain and central committee Member VP Saiful Islam, among others, spoke.
