RU MCJ library named after Jolly

RAJSHAHI, Sept 25: Rajshahi University (RU) Mass Communication and Journalism (MCJ) Department on Sunday observed a memorial programme remembering Associate Prof Akter Jahan Jolly, who had recently committed suicide.  
More than 200 students, teachers and staff of the department brought out a mourning rally following a memorial programme where the department's library was named after the deceased RU teacher and a corner stone was also erected on the department premises in memory of her.  The memorial meeting was held at Rabindra Arts Building where MCJ Dept Assistant Prof Shatil Siraj coordinated the programme while Department Chair Pradeep Kumar Pandey, Moshihur Rahman, Dr Mozzamel Hossain Bakul, Jolly's older sister Israt Jahan and younger brother Kamrul Hasan Ratan, and RUTA General Secretary Prof Shah Azam Shantanu, among others, addressed the programme.
