Arrest warrant against Rizvi in Special Power Act case

An arrest warrant has been issued against BNP senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi in a case filed under Special Power Act.

Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge KM Imrul Kayesh issued the warrant on Thursday taking the case into cognisance.

The court's additional public prosecutor Taposh Kumar Pal confirmed the matter.

He said earlier, the court fixed today to take the case into cognisance.

As per the schedule, the Dhaka court passed the order in presence of the BNP leader.

The case was filed with Badda Police Station in the first week of January in 2015.
