Moeen Ali removed openers Liton Das and Naim Sheikh in back-to-back deliveries to jolt Bangladesh's innings up front.
Earlier, Bangladesh captain Mahmudullah won the toss and decided to bat first against England in the Super 12 stage of the ongoing ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2021 at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi.
One change for Bangladesh from their last game -- Shoriful Islam replaced Mohammad Saifuddin while England went unchanged. Eoin Morgan-led England defeated West Indies by six wickets in their opening match after stupendous displays from spinner Adil Rashid and Moeen Ali.
Bangladesh, on the other hand, will look to march forward and leave behind a disappointing five-wicket loss against Sri Lanka in their opening game despite being in control for the majority of the match.
"Looks a good wicket to bat on, want to put a total on the board," Mahmudullah said after the toss as his side wants to bounce back in the winning way after their five-wicket defeat to Sri Lanka in the first game of Super 12.
England, who beat West Indies by six wickets after wrapping up the Caribbean side for just 55 runs, remained unchanged.
Their captain Eoin Morgan, as ever, was happy to chase. "Played here a lot at the IPL, wicket looks as good as it had been," Morgan said.
"New game, different challenge, and a new ground as well."
