Admission fraud: DU to suspend 2 students permanently

The authorities of Dhaka University (DU) has decided to suspend two of its students permanently, who are earlier suspended temporarily, on charge of taking admission in an illegal way.

The decision was taken at a meeting led by vice-chancellor Prof Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman, a press release said.

Md Rakib Hasan, students of Accounting and Information System Department 2017-18, and Ishrak Hossain Rafi of Geology Department, the same session, will be suspended permanently while Md Aktarul Karim Rubel, student of Bangla Department, 2014-15, will be suspended temporarily for his alleged involvement in activities against law.

On the other hand, a total of 72 students will be punished on different terms for taking unfair means during examination.
