A Bangladeshi man has been killed by his room-mate in Malaysia over lending money.
Deceased Mosharraf Hossain, 28, and accused Tutul Mia, 25, are the resident of Shantipur village under Bancharampur Police Station in Brahmanbaria district.
The body of Mosharraf was sent to Bangladesh on a flight from Kuala Lumpur around 11pm on Friday.
Jahirul Islam, a Bangladeshi community leader in Kuala Lampur, said it was learned that they both worked together and lived in a room.
On July 12, they received monthly salary. Later, Tutul wanted to borrow money from Mosharraf.
An altercation took place between them as Mosharraf refused to land him money.
At one point, Tutul killed Mosharraf and buried him inside toilet of their room.
As Mosharraf had been missing, his employers searched for him. Tutul informed them Mosharraf took job elsewhere.
After a bad smell spread from the room on July 22, Mosharraf was questioned in this regard.
At first, he denied the killing of Mosharraf but, later, Tutul confessed to the murder before police after good thrash.
Musharraf's family sought justice and financial assistance from Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
