Anwar Group founder Anwar Hossain passes away

Anwar Hossain, founder and chairman of Anwar Group of Industries, passed away at Labaid Hospital in Dhaka on Tuesday night. He was 83.

The businessman has been suffering from old-age complications for the last few years, according to the posts shared by the company on its official Facebook page.

He left behind four daughters, three sons and a host of relatives and well-wisher to mourn his death.

The namaz-e-janaza for Anwar Hossain will be held on Thursday morning at Baitul Aman Jam-e-mosque in Dhanmondi Road 7. And, later, he will be buried.

He was the founder chairman of Anwar Group of Industries, The City Bank Limited, Bangladesh Finance and Investment Company Ltd and founder director of City General Insurance Company Limited.
