Floating body recovered from Bhola canal


The body of a young man was recovered from a canal at Sadar upazila in Bhola district on Friday afternoon.

Deceased Saidur Rahman, 22, was the son of Md Siddique Miah, a resident of Dargah Road area under Bheduria union in the upazila.

Locals spotted the floating body in the canal in Sher-e-Bangla Bazar area around 12:30am and informed police.

Police recovered the body and sent it to Bhola Sadar Hospital morgue.

Family sources said Saidur went out of home on Wednesday afternoon out of huff with the family and since then he was missing.

Bhola Sadar Police Station officer in-charge Md Enayet Hossain said the reason behind the death would be known once the autopsy is done.

An unnatural death was filed in this connection, he added.
