Domestic flights will continue during the strict lockdown set to resume Friday, but only to facilitate the movement of the international flight passengers in the country.
Domestic flights of Biman Bangladesh Airlines, US-Bangla Airlines and NovoAir may only carry the passengers who are ultimately scheduled to catch an international flight, said Civil Aviation Authority, Bangladesh (CAAB) on Thursday.
The flights could continue maintaining health protocols strictly as per instructions.
Airlines were told to ensure that the domestic flight tickets are issued only to the passengers having international air tickets and the documents pertaining to their international flight should be checked as well.
The instructions would come into effect from 6 am Friday at all domestic airports.
