2.40 lakh Yaba recovered in Cox's Bazar


Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) recovered 2.40 lakh Yaba tablets at Ukhia upazila in Cox's Bazar district on Monday afternoon.

BGB-34 Cox's Bazar additional director Aminul Islam said on information that a big consignment of Yaba tablets was entering from Myanmar through Rajapalong border area, a team of the BGB conducted a drive there.

Sensing presence of the team, several drug peddlers opened fire on BGB men.

As the BGB also fired back, they left a sack of the Yaba tablets and fled the scene.
