OC Pradeep shifted to Cox's Bazar jail

Suspended Teknaf police OC Pradeep Kumar Das, arrested in retired Major Sinha Mohammad Rashed Khan murder case, has been shifted to Cox's Bazar jail from Chattogram jail.
A prison van, carrying Pradeep reached Cox's Bazar jail around 3:25pm.
Pradeep had been sent to Chattogram jail in November, 2020 for appearing before a court in a a case filed by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).
On the night of July 31,2020, Sinha Mohammad Rashed Khan was killed in police firing during the searching at Baharchhara Police Checkpost.
On August 5, slain Sinha's sister Sharmin Shahria Ferdous filed a murder case against nine policemen including inspector Liakat Ali and OC Pradeep Kumar Das with the Cox's Bazar Senior Judicial Magistrate Court.
On August 6, the suspended OC Pradeep Kumar Das surrendered to the Cox's Bazar Senior Judicial Magistrate Court.
On December 13,2020, RAB-15 senior assistant police superintendent Md Khairul Islam, also the IO of the case, submitted chargesheet against 15 persons including suspended OC Pradeep Kumar Das.
