Freedom fighter Muslim laid to rest with state honour

Freedom fighter Muslim Uddin was given state guard of honour before his burial at Porsha upazila in Naogaon district on Thursday morning.

He died of old age complications at his home at Michhira village in the upazila on Wednesday night.

The national flag and floral wreaths were placed on the coffin of Muslim.
UNO Najmul Hamid Reza, the upazila parishad chairman Shah Monjur Morshed Chowdhury, vice-chairman Kazibul Islam, and the upazila unit Awami League president Anwarul Islam expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Muslim.

Apart other freedom fighters, people from all professions rushed there to pay their respect to the war hero for the last time.

Later, Muslim was buried at his family graveyards at the village.
