3 Bangladeshis killed in Bahrain road crash


Three Bangladesh nationals have died and another received injuries in a road accident in Bahrain.

Two of the deceased were identified as Sujon Matabbar, son of Mujibur Matabbar of Dakshin Doboldia Kazi Kandi village in Jazira upazila of Shariatpur, and KM Ruhul Rabbi, son of Rakib Uddin of Mandirpur village in Kasba upazila of Brahmanbaria.

According to Bangladesh Embassy in Bahrain, a private car, carrying the Bangladeshis, collided head on with another vehicle around 3:00am (local time).

The passengers were returning to Bahrain's capital Manama after visiting Zallaq beach.

They went to visit the beach on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, the embassy said.

Critically injured Md Rubel of Sreepur Bazar in  Haziganj upazila of Chandpur is undergoing treatment at a hospital.

The bodies have been kept at Salmaniya Medical Complex morgue.

Bangladesh Embassy will extend all out support for sending the bodies to Bangladesh on emergency basis, the embassy said.
