Workers demand resumption of inter-district bus services
Workers of Joypurhat District Motor Workers' Union staged a sit-in protest on Friday to resume inter-district bus services in compliance with health guidelines.
They held a sit-in programme in front of the district bus terminal premises at around 11am on the day of Eid-ul-fitr.
Anisur Rahman Liton, President of Joypurhat District Bus-Minibus Owners' Group, Rafiqul Islam, General Secretary of Joypurhat District Motor Workers’ Union, among others, spoke at the programme.
The speakers urged the government to allow inter-district transport services with maintaining health guidelines imposed by the health authorities.
