Speech-impaired minor girl raped in Jashore; One held

A Speech-impaired minor girl has allegedly been raped in jhikargachha upazila of Jashore.

Police, however, arrested the accused persons following filing of a complaint.

Jhikargachha police OC Abdur Razzaque said the victim's father along with the local UP chairman filed a complaint in this regard.

The victim's father said accused Sohag, a tea stall owner of Radhanagar Bazar, lured his six-year-old daughter on Monday afternoon with sweets and violated her inside the shop.

As the girl fell sick, Sohag freed her and asked her not to tell the matter anybody.

Later, he alongwith his daughter and local UP chairman went to the police station to file a complaint.

Medical test of the girl was conducted at Jashore general Hospital, said the RMO.
