President, PM, Law Minister condole death of Kabori

President Md Abdul Hamid, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Law Minister Anisul Huq have expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of renowned actress of Bangla cinema, producer and former MP Sarah Begum Kabori.
In a condolence message, the President recalled the contribution of Kabori in the field of country’s film industry with honour.
Calling her a shining star of Bangla cinema, Abdul Hamid said her death is an irreparable loss to the country’s film industry.
“People of the country will remember Kabori’s role due respect in promoting Bangla film and culture for long,” he added.
The head of state prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
In another message, the Prime Minister said Kabori is a bright star in the arena of film of this country.
"Her contribution in politics and cultural arena beside film will be remembered," she said.
The President, Prime Minister, the Law Minister prayed for salvation of the departed soul.
They expressed deep sympathy to the bereaved family members.
Legendary actress Sarah Begum Kabori breathed her last at Sheikh Russel Gastroliver Institute and Hospital at about 12:20am.
The acclaimed actress acted in about 200 films and won national film awards for two occasions — in 1978 for acting in 'Sareng Bou' and lifetime achievement award in 2013.
Kabori, also a former lawmaker from Narayanganj, started shooting for her new film “Ei Tumi Sei Tumi” in March last year, which is yet to end due to the ongoing pandemic.
