Industrialist Mahmud Ali dies of coronavirus
Industrialist and Noakhali district Awami League vice president Mahmud Ali Ratul has died of coronavirus at a hospital in Dhaka. He was 60.
Ratul, owner of JMS Group in Chattogram, breathed his last around 11pm on Thursday at the Evercare Hospital.
He left behind wife, two children and a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn his death.
Ali Haider Jisan, assistant secretary of Mahmud Ali Ratul, confirmed the news on Friday morning.
Ratul fell sick in last of March while staying at Chattogram. Later, he had tested positive for the virus on March 30.
He was admitted to Evercare Hospital on April 2.
