Bangladesh reports highest 96 Covid deaths in a day
Breaking the previous records of fatalities, Bangladesh reported 96 deaths in a single day from complications of COVID-19.
With this, the death toll rose to 9,987 in the last 24 hours till 8:00 am on Wednesday.
During this timeline, 5,185 fresh cases were reported, taking the total virus cases to 7,03,170.
A press release, signed by additional director general of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) Meerjady Sabrina Flora, informed this on Wednesday.
So far, health authorities reported 591,299 recoveries (84.09 percent), including 5,333 in the last 24 hours.
