Bangladesh makes Covid vaccine mandatory for Hajj pilgrims



A total of 38,264 people received the second dose of Covid-19 vaccine in all eight districts of Rajshahi division in the last three days since Thursday.

Of them, 18,461 people including 5,192 females took the second jab on Monday, said Dr Habibul Ahsan Talukder, Divisional Director of Health.

He also said 2,572 including 781 females received vaccines in Rajshahi city, 891 people including 268 females in Rajshahi district, 1,445 including 376 females in Chapainawabganj, 2,336 including 644 females in Natore and 3,019 people including 725 females in Naogaon have been inoculated.

On Monday, as many as 1,678 persons including 515 females got vaccines in Pabna, 2,007 including 659 females in Sirajganj, 3,218 including 883 females in Bogura and 1,295 including 314 females in Joypurhat received the vaccines, he added.

A total of 6,33,774 people have been vaccinated with the first dose in all eight districts of the division till today since the countrywide vaccination programme began on February 7.
