Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) members detained three persons along with a touchstone-made statue of Lord Vishnu in Tarash upazila of Sirajganj district on Wednesday afternoon.
The detainees are Sree Ram Sarker, 38, Golam Saqlain, 40, and Sadeque Hossain, 50.
RAB-12 deputy commander Major Md Moshiur Rahman said on information, a team of elite force conducted a drive at Kusumdi area and detained the trio along with the statue.
A case was filed with Tarash Police Station in this connection, he added.
