Singer Jane Alam is no more


Legendary singer Jane Alam died at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University Hospital on Tuesday night.

He died at about 9:30pm while underwent treatment there. He was 65.
CD Choice's owner Zahirul Islam Sohel confirmed about his death.

Zahirul Islam said singer Jane Alam became coronavirus infected last month. He became coronavirus free after treatment, but developed pneumonia. As a result, his physical condition worsened. He was taken to life support on Tuesday. He died at the intensive care unit of the BSMMU Hospital at night.

Jane Alam was born at Harirampur in Manikganj district. He joined the country's musical arena immediately after the independence in 1971.

The singer sang more than 4,000 songs. Besides, he wrote, composed and directed some 3,000 songs.
