![]() DU-affiliated colleges' students protest postponement of exams Students of seven colleges affiliated to Dhaka University have blocked the city’s Nilkhet intersection protesting the postponement of their ongoing examinations. However, the agitating students have withdrawn their blockade for today and would resume the protest again at 8.00 am on Wednesday morning if their demands are not fulfilled. In the protest, students chanted slogans demanding the withdrawal examinations postponement decision of the concerned authorities and asked them to take all ongoing examinations. The students blocked the intersection in the evening soon after the decision to postpone the examination was announced and continued till 10.10 pm on Tuesday. The road from New Market to Azimpur was closed due to the blockade of the agitating students. Mahmuda Sultana, a student at Eden Mohila College, who led the protest of seven college students, said, “Tomorrow we will all be at Nilkhet at 8.00 am and stage protest unitedly.” Meanwhile, pro vice-chancellor (Education) of Dhaka University ASM Maksud Kamal held a a meeting with the principals of seven colleges and decide to postpone all the final examinations including the ongoing examinations of seven colleges till May 17.
