Case filed over death of journalist Mozakker

A murder case has been filed over the death of Noakhali journalist Borhanuddin Mozakker in a clash between two rival groups.

Footage from the CC camera set up at Chaprashirhat Bazar has been collected to investigate the incident, said the OC.

Mozakker, a correspondent of Dainik Bangla Samachar and Barta Bazar online news portals, received bullet injuries during a clash between supporters of Basurhat Pourasava mayor Abdul Quader Mirza and the Upazila Awami League organising secretary Mizanur Rahman Badal at Chaprashirhat Purbo Bazar in Companyganj on Friday afternoon.

He succumbed to his injuries at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) around 10:45pm on Saturday.
