Bangladesh reached 180 losing six wickets in the first session of day three as the hosts took control of the Dhaka Test at Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on Saturday morning.

Tigers trail by 229 runs as they are batting on 180-6 in their first innings in the second and final Test against West Indies.

Wicketkeeper-batsman Liton Das and all-rounder Mehidy Hasan Miraz are batting on 22 and 11 respectively. Overnight batsmen Mushfiqur Rahim and Mohammad Mithun both were dismissed at 54 and 15.

After the brilliant fifty, Mushfiqur gets out in a poor way as he tried to execute a reverse sweep and gave catch to Kyle Mayers at short mid-wicket.

For the Caribbean, Rahkeem Cornwall picked up three wickets including of Mushy and Shannon Gabriel bagged two wickets

Bangladesh ended the day two on 105 for 4 in reply of West Indies’ 409 in the first innings.
