Lowest 5.5˚C temperature recorded in Kurigram

The lowest temperature 5.5 degree Celsius in the country was recorded in Kurigram district on Sunday.

Confirming the matter, Subal Chandra Sarkar, officer in-charge of Kurigram Agricultural Meteorological Observatory, said the situation will continue for several days.

Upazila health and family planning officer Dr Abu Bakar Siddique said the disease caused form cold has increased in the district.

He said children are being affected by pneumonia, bronchiolitis and asthma while the elderly people are suffering from COPD, pneumonia and asthma.

Most of the patients are taking treatment from outdoor and returning home, the official added.
