2 youths die by hanging in Kaptai

Two people have died by hanging in Kaptai upazila of Rangamati within nine hours.

The deceased are Shoyeb Ahmed,28, son of Khayez Ahmed, a driver of Water development Board; and Naimur Rahman Nayan,22, son of Farhad Hossain, an employee of the PDB.

Quoting family, police said Shoyeb committed suicide by hanging himself in his house at Project area on Sunday night following a family feud.

On the other hand, Nayan was gossiping with his friends about the death of Shoyeb.

At one stage, he accidentally hanged himself with a rope while showing his friends how to commit suicide, said locals.

Kaptai police OC Nasir Uddin confirmed the matter.
