40 held in Rajshahi city

Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP) and Detective Branch of Police in separates drive arrested 40 people from Saturday till Sunday morning.

Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Headquarters) of Rajshahi Metropolitan Police, Golam Ruhul Quddus confirmed the matter on Sunday.

Of the arrestees, 9 had a arrest warrant, eight were a drug addicts and the rest 23 were arrested on various charges.

Legal action has been taken against the detainees, the official added.
