2 die in separate incidents in Joypurhat

Two people died in separate incidents in Sadar and Khetlal upazilas of Joypurhat district on Saturday morning.

Naimul Islam, 20, son of Moiful Islam of Kadirpur village in Kalai upazila, and Mithu Hossain, 35, son of Nazrul Islam of Bishnupur village in Sadar upazila of the district.

Police sources said Naimul’s scarf got entangled with a wheel of three-wheeler in Shibpur Dhanshunda area of Khetlal when he was starting the vehicle, leaving him dead on the spot.

Khetlal Police Station officer in-charge (OC) Nirendranath Mondal confirmed the matter.

Meanwhile, Mithu slipped and fell from the five-storey building of Joypurhat District Hospital while working, said Joypurhat Sadar Police Station officer in-charge (OC) Alamgir Jahan.
