Schoolboy run over by bus in Khagrachhari

A schoolboy died as a bus ran over him at Ramgarh upazila in Khagrachhari district on Thursday afternoon.

Deceased Remrachye Marma, 16, was a tenth grader of Ramgarh Government High School. He was the son of Mongsanye Marma, a resident of Darogapara area under Ramgarh municipality.

Witnesses said a bus of Shanti Paribahan ran over him at about 3:00pm at Ramgarh Bazar while he was walking beside a road, leaving him critically injured.

Locals rescued him and took him to Ramgarh Upazila Health Complex where he was referred to Feni General Hospital.

The hospital on-duty doctor declared him dead after he was taken there.

Confirming the matter, Ramgarh Police Station officer in-charge Md Shamsuzzaman police seized the bus, but its driver managed to flee the scene.
