COVID in Bangladesh: 16 more die in 24hrs

Bangladesh's coronavirus death toll hit to 7,922 on Monday with 16 more deaths in last 24 hours.

During this time, 697 positive cases were reported which took the total infection number to 5,28,329.

Of the dead, 12 were male while four were women. All of them died at different hospitals across the country.
The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) confirmed the matter through a press release signed by Prof Dr Nasima Sultana, Additional Director General of DGHS, this  afternoon.

Some 736 more corona patients were declared free from the virus, raising the total recovered number to 4,73,173.

Bangladesh reported its first coronavirus case on March 8 and the first death on March 18.
