Man sent to jail for rape in Dinajpur

Police has arrested a man at Birampur upazila in Dinajpur district in a case filed over rape of a teenage girl.

Police arrested Moniruzzaman Monir, 20, on Friday and sent him to jail following a court order.

Moniruzzam is a resident of Ketra Bazar in the upazila.

Birampur Police Station sub-inspector (SI) Mostafizur Rahman said Monir entered the house of the victim on Thursday night and violated her.

The Police Station officer in-charge (OC) Moniruzzaman Monir confirmed the matter.
