COVID: 31 more deaths, 1,007 cases reported in 24hrs

Bangladesh on Thursday afternoon reported 31 more deaths from novel coronavirus, raising the total number to 7,718.

Meanwhile, the country's infection number stands at 5,19,905 with 1,007 more positive cases.

Of the deceased, 21 were male and 10 were female.

The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) confirmed the matter through a press release signed by Prof Dr Nasima Sultana, Additional Director General of DGHS, this afternoon.

Health authorities also reported 966 more recoveries in the past 24 hours, taking the total recovered number to 4,64,446.

Bangladesh reported its first coronavirus case on March 8 and the first death on March 18.
