College girl killed as bus rams auto-rickshaw in Cox's Bazar

A college girl was killed as a bus hit a CNG-run auto-rickshaw at Ramu upazila in Cox's Bazar district on Wednesday night.

The deceased was identified as Nasrin Jahan Boishakhi, 22, a honors student at Ramu Government College. She was the daughter of Late Dalilur Rahman of Sawdagar Para area under Joarinala union in the upazila.

Witnesses said a Cox's Bazar-bound bus of 'Swadhin Travels' smashed the auto-rickshaw in Joarinala Cha Bagan area around 8pm, leaving Boishakhi dead on the spot and three other passengers injured.

The injured were admitted to a local hospital.

Joarinala union parishad chairman Kamal Shamsuddin Ahmed Prince confirmed the matter.
