A notification signed by the head of the embassy Ruhul Amin confirmed the matter on Sunday.

According to the notification, some employees of the Bangladesh High Commission in Kuala Lumpur, who have tested positive for the virus, sent to medical centers for treatment and others who have come in contact with them have been quarantined.

The passport distribution will be started again from January 6 in Ampang Passport Office.

Meanwhile, those who booked appointment after January 1 and could not get their passport due to the closure of the high commission were asked to book appointment again in their convenient time.

It also informed that the expatriates will not be given passport without appointment and they will have to fix it at least three days before the scheduled date.

Earlier, the embassy was declared closed from January 1 to 10 after some of its employees of passport division contracted coronavirus.
