Chuadanga COVID-19 cases reach 1,647

Four more people have tested positive for COVID-19 in last 24 hours in Chuadanga district, taking the total numbers of the cases from virus to 1,647.

Chuadanga civil surgeon Dr ASM Maruf Hasan confirmed the matter on Monday morning.

He said a total of 35 samples were sent to PCR lab of  Kushtia Medical College Hospital and the result have came this morning where four found positive for the virus.

Of the newly contracted cases, three are in Sadar and one in Damurhuada upazilas.

Meanwhile, 1,576 coronavirus patients made recovery from the virus and 43 died.

Currently, six coronavirus patients are undergoing treatment at isolation unit of Chuadanga Sadar Hospital and the rest 22 are in home quarantine.

The first coronavirus in Chuadanga was reported on March 19 last year.
